We enjoyed learning all about Homophones and playing a matching game to meet our pair. This activity widened our vocabulary by learning the meaning of new words and also provided an opportunity to practise and improve our spelling.
We used our knowledge of Homophones and wrote sentences using the words.

We have had some great entries for our times table challenge. Some fantastic, unique and creative ideas. Well done everyone, I have been very impressed! Keep up the hard work learning your tables at home.
We will continue to learn our tables songs through the Maths RockX app at school. Today for Children in Need, we came together as a year group. We were set a challenge from Lord Sugar which required us to put our business brains to the test. We became his 'Charity Apprentice'.
Our aim was to set up our own business to raise £400 or more to help children in need. We worked in teams to come up with a product for people to buy/use. We considered our target audience and put together a presentation to inform everyone about our idea. We created some fantastic posters, songs and dances to help advertise our product. We have had a fantastic day and have learnt lots about 'Children in Need'. The children enjoyed using the 'right angle gobblers'. We used these to work out which shapes had right angles!
We had a class debate based around our class text 'The Nowhere Emporium'. The children came up with some very persuasive arguements and were very vocal during the debate! Great work everyone.
We chose the country 'Italy' for our enterprise week! What does everybody think of when they think of Italy? Of course, Pizza and Pasta! We decided to make a product with a twist...Pizza cookies! A deleicious sweet treat, perfect for anyone who has a sweet tooth. Year 3 have worked so hard as a team, making and decorating the pizza cookies. Well done everyone, they look amazing!
